Joe Maas is our Chief Investment Officer. A highly trained financial analyst, Joe is responsible for analyzing current and potential investments for the firm through deep fundamental analysis, researching industry trends and application of quantitative methods and technical analysis. Joe is very unique because he is certified in so many areas of expertise. He has earned certificates from nine prestigious organizations, and, with over two decades of financial industry experience, his unique core specialty is providing comprehensive investment management and financial planning services for individual investors, business owners, and trust.
Joe holds a variety of world renowned professional designations; he is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charterholder, which is the world’s most respected investment professional’s achievement. In addition to the CFA, Joe is a certified valuation analyst (CVA) and is accredited in business appraisal review (ABAR). His professional capability also includes being a certified merger and acquisition advisor (CM&AA) trained and experienced in buying and selling middle-market companies with revenues from $5 million to $500 million.

Will Riggs is a Wealth Strategist & licensed Financial Advisor who is committed to serving our clients’ best interests. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Will is a proud alumnus of The University of South Carolina, where he obtained degrees in Finance and Insurance. He showcased his leadership skills as captain of the varsity swim team.
Prior to joining Strategic Retirement Solutions, Will gained valuable experience at Vanguard Group, where he provided investment guidance and managed retail brokerage accounts, specializing in the Margin Desk. With a strong desire to build lasting client connections and to craft tailored solutions, Will empowers clients to retire with confidence. Will holds FINRA Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses, Will’s education and experience ensures comprehensive financial guidance.
Outside of the office, Will’s adventurous spirit shines through his love for gravel and road cycling, fishing, surfing, and spending quality time with his wife, Emily, daughter Quinn, and their beloved dog, Calvin.

Drake has joined the Strategic Retirement Solution team as a Wealth Strategist. Drake provides valued support to our senior Wealth Planning Team and our clients in various planning areas.
Drake is a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in Business Administration.
Outside of work Drake enjoys golf, pickleball, singing and composing music.
Drake is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys supporting his favorite college team, The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Adam Schmidt

Adam Schmidt
Adam Schmidt is a licensed financial advisor who brings years of experience and a passion for helping clients turn their financial goals into reality. Adam works from the Cincinnati, Ohio area where he was born and raised. He is a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University.
A veteran of the financial industry, Adam got his start in the business in 2012. He has held positions at T. Rowe Price, Fidelity, and UBS. Adam thrives on the human side of financial planning and strives to find personal solutions for his clients through genuine connections and understanding. Adam has passed the FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 licensing exams.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys unplugging in nature with his wife, Jenny, his son, Charlie, and his daughter, Scarlett. During the winter, Adam volunteers as a Ski Patroller at Perfect North Slopes and as a coach for the Highlands Wrestling Club.

Before Daniel McDonald started devoting his work fulltime to AdvisorShare in 2020, he served as Regional Director to a traditional face-to-face wholesaling firm helping them grow to be the #1 independently owned distributor of fixed and fixed index annuities in financial institutions. During his eight years as a perennial sales leader at the firm he became a valued partner to advisors at America’s largest banks and broker dealers training their representatives how to properly use annuities that had only recently been added to their platform. Now Daniel uses that experience to help independent financial advisors identify and use high quality insurance products for their client’s retirement needs.
Daniel is a second-generation, financial services wholesaler who has taken on the challenge of continuing to distribute insurance products properly and effectively to financial services professionals who deem them the best fit for their clients as his father has since 1978. He is insurance licensed in all 50 states and well experienced in considering all industry and state rules and regulations prior to making an insurance recommendation. Daniel’s high standard of care, good standing across the insurance industry, and success with growing AdvisorShare makes him an ideal fit to partner with the team bringing a unique twist on distribution to the Medicare industry with AdvisorShare Medicare Partners.

Jason S. Mackey is a United States Air Force veteran who earned a top-secret security clearance while working on the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber. In 1998, after completing his service he returned to Charleston, SC, to join his family’s insurance agency. They have been an independent insurance agency since 1989, which allows them to build the best solutions for their clients. Upon his father’s retirement in 2014, Jason became president of the company. Jason has always had a passion for having a vast knowledge of the Medicare program and guiding people through it.
“I really enjoy helping people through the Medicare maze and simplifying the process,” Jason says. “I get a lot of satisfaction seeing the relief a person has after designing their plan. The best part is that we can do this at no cost to the client.”

Kirk Rossetter is Strategic Retirement Solution’s Client Personal Case Manager. Kirk manages all client case updates and correspondence.
Kirk also oversees and handles all of the administrative duties for each client from the start of the application process to weekly status updates and updates every annual review.
Originally from the Columbus, Ohio area, Kirk now resides in Central Florida.
Client Practice Manager
Neill Foshee
Neill is Strategic Retirement Solution’s Client Practice Manager. He coordinates and manages all aspects of the practice and is the first point of contact for clients. Neill also oversees all of the electronic and written communications for the ongoing education of our clients.
Neill previously served as the Director of Operations for the Reverse Mortgage Education Network, which was one of only two State of Florida approved mortgage broker continuing education schools devoted solely to training in reverse mortgages.
Neill is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a BSBA in General Business and an MA in Instructional Systems. Neill is an avid fan of UCF athletics and returns to the Orlando campus whenever possible to enjoy sporting events.

Nicole Gillihan
Nicole brings years of diverse experience in the financial sector. As the Client Service Specialist for a top wealth advisory firm, Nicole provided new and existing clients with exceptional service for opening new accounts, transferring funds and requesting distributions. She also managed all of the back-office processes needed to ensure efficient transactions and timely communications.
Her most recent experience is with a Field Marketing Organization, serving as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this role, she adeptly assisted financial advisors in recruiting new members for their teams.
Nicole is passionate about supporting local charitable organizations and she relishes outdoor activities with her loved ones and friends.

Amy Rodriquez
Amy serves as the Client Services Manager for the Wealth Planning Team, bringing years of experience in Partner Relations. She is dedicated to fostering strong client relationships, improving operational processes, and ensuring a smooth and efficient client experience. Amy is known for her organization, reliability, and commitment to supporting her team in achieving its goals.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys being a soccer mom, diving into self-development books, and listening to praise and worship music.

Barry has guided clients through the confusion of aging into Medicare for the past 20 years. Every single person making a Medicare decision is unique and the key is being a really good listener to design a plan that fits that client’s individual needs and ensures they understand their decision. Barry is a Navy veteran, having served onboard the USS Oklahoma City, Flagship for the 7th Fleet during the Vietnam war and received the Navy Achievement Medal for his service.
Married to his lovely wife Pam for 53 years, they have two sons and four grandchildren. After 35 years of residing in Lancaster PA, they relocated to Clayton NC in 2022 to be closer to the two youngest grandchildren.
Barry enjoys coaching his grandson’s baseball team and traveling both in the US and abroad. He also enjoys playing the very humbling game of golf.
